The inaugural Cities 4.0 Summit took place in Melbourne from 22-23 March 2017.
Supported by the Australian Government, peak industry bodies and leading smart city solution providers the event brought together 200 senior level attendees.
The event featured a two day programme with over 35 international and local speakers, multiple case study presentations and interactive deep dive sessions aimed at educating city and local government leaders on how they can leverage IoT and related ICT technologies to drive smart city transformation projects.
There was also a solutions showcase where delegates were able to meet with leading smart city solution providers to discuss their needs and source partners.
With hugely positive feedback and a growing awareness around the impact of automation, IoT, cloud computing, virtual reality, 3D modelling, and other cyber-physical systems on city planning, design, construction, governance, financing and operations, the 2018 event is set to be the smart city event of the year.
